Overview

The Steward Lead at Boise Centre plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dish areas. This full-time position involves supporting back-of-house operations and ensuring that events run smoothly through effective team leadership and hands-on support.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the stewarding team while holding them accountable
  • Train and coach team on sanitation, equipment use, and policies
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the dish room and kitchen areas
  • Delegate daily tasks for quality support during events
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishware and cookware
  • Coordinate dish stations and setup during banquets and events
  • Monitor and manage inventory of dishroom chemicals
  • Assist with food prep as needed
  • Report defective equipment and remove broken dishware
  • Follow sanitation and food safety guidelines
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
