Overview

The Steward position at Marriott International involves operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen and storeroom areas. This part-time role requires a focus on teamwork and customer service to support a positive guest experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines and trash compactors
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, and equipment
  • Receive deliveries and properly store perishables while rotating stock
  • Ensure clean wares are stored appropriately
  • Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware
  • Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, rescrubbing and re-washing soiled items as needed
  • Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
  • Follow all safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance needs and unsafe work conditions to management
  • Support team goals and foster positive working relationships
