Job Description

Overview

As a Station Agent at Alaska Airlines, you will play a dual role in both customer service and ramp service operations at the airport. You will assist guests with their travel needs while ensuring the safe and efficient movement of luggage and cargo, all within a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist guests with travel needs, including answering inquiries and ticketing
  • Load and offload luggage and cargo using conveyor belts or forklifts
  • Transport luggage and cargo to various airport locations
  • Maintain ramp and warehouse areas
  • Evaluate and prepare flights by coordinating seat assignments and catering needs
  • Perform boarding and gate duties such as checking flight tickets and assisting passengers
  • Process and secure passenger luggage

Required skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license issued by a US state or territory
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and obtain airport security clearance
  • Experience operating computerized reservation systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
