Overview

Winter Park Resort is seeking a Starbucks Barista for the summer season. This role involves providing excellent service to customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items according to Starbucks standards. Baristas will support a positive team culture and ensure compliance with health and safety standards in a dynamic work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly manner while taking accurate orders.
  • Prepare and serve handcrafted beverages and food items as per Starbucks recipes.
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area for both bar and customer-facing spaces.
  • Restock ingredients, supplies, and products as needed during the shift.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to meet food safety standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Starbucks values, mission, and product offerings.
  • Adapt to changing priorities or customer needs during busy periods.

Required skills

  • Customer service experience (minimum one year preferred)
  • Barista experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Food Handler and Allergy training certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs frequently
  • High School Diploma or GED required
