Overview

The Stand Supervisor at Six Flags Great Adventure is responsible for ensuring the successful daily operation of assigned food service locations, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and creating a fun experience for guests. This role involves training and motivating a team, enforcing health policies, and addressing guest concerns to enhance customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team to deliver high-quality customer service
  • Enforce food preparation and handling procedures in compliance with health department policies
  • Inspect equipment and work areas for cleanliness and safety
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, handling, and rotation of items
  • Coordinate food preparation and service with fellow management
  • Troubleshoot staff, equipment, or customer service issues promptly
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests
  • Address guest concerns in a solution-oriented manner
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization of units to ensure safety
  • Provide feedback, support, and coaching to associates
  • Evaluate associates and recommend promotions as appropriate
  • Comply with all company policies

Required skills

  • 2-3 years of Food and Beverage Operations experience
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ServSafe Alcohol and ServSafe Food Handler certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Professional, outgoing, and energetic personality
  • Motivational skills to encourage team performance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in food service or retail
  • Comfortable with POS Systems
