Overview

The Stand Supervisor at Six Flags Great Adventure is responsible for ensuring the successful daily operation of assigned food locations, maintaining compliance with food quality and safety standards while providing a memorable experience for guests. The role involves leading and training a team, enforcing proper food handling procedures, and addressing guest concerns to maintain high service levels.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of associates to deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Enforce food preparation and handling procedures in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Regularly inspect equipment and work areas for cleanliness and safety.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, handling, and rotation of food items.
  • Work with management for coordination between food preparation and service.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to staff, equipment, or customer service promptly.
  • Enhance guest experience by maintaining a positive and energetic atmosphere.
  • Address guest concerns in a solution-oriented manner.
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization to ensure safety of associates and guests.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to associates for performance improvement.
  • Evaluate associates and recommend qualified members for promotion.
  • Comply with all Six Flags policies at all times.

Required skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in Food and Beverage Operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to pass ServSafe Alcohol and ServSafe Food Handler certifications
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Professional and outgoing demeanor with a positive attitude
  • Comfortable with POS Systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in food service or retail is a plus
