Job Description

Overview

Gelpac Poly Inc. is seeking a temporary intern in Quality Assurance for a three-month position. The role involves ensuring product quality and actively contributing to project management related to new product development and process improvements. The intern will work closely with production, customer service, and maintenance teams to uphold quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the application of good manufacturing practices related to food safety standards.
  • Implement and monitor the quality control plan, including floor tours and measurement control.
  • Assist in handling non-conformities and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with production, customer service, and maintenance to ensure quality requirements are met at each stage of production.
  • Participate in the development or improvement of processes.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

Required skills

  • Industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering student
  • Relevant experience in quality assurance within the food industry is a plus
  • Interest in quality and food safety standards
  • Attention to detail, autonomy, and analytical mindset
  • Problem-solving skills (e.g., QQOQCP, 5M, 5P) are an asset
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills in French; English skills are a plus
