Job Description

Overview

Clarios is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead complex development programs within the automotive industry. The role involves providing technical oversight, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with automotive functional safety and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and advise cross program System Teams on customer specifications and industry standards
  • Guide teams in validation planning for functional safety and ASPICE processes
  • Develop system processes compliant with ISO26262 and ASPICE
  • Identify system process gaps and lead improvement efforts
  • Guide workgroups in collecting and analyzing system requirements
  • Define the system architecture and component interfaces
  • Review and approve design specifications and engineering documentation
  • Develop supplier relationships for component specifications and make vs. buy analysis
  • Provide technical leadership across assigned project teams

Required skills

  • 20+ years of industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Master's degree or PhD preferred
  • Expertise in ISO26262 and ASPICE
  • Experience in automotive engineering and functional safety
  • Technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
