Job Description

Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a part-time/casual Staff RN for their Freestanding Emergency Department in Lewis Center. The nurse will provide general nursing care to patients in diverse, acute health care settings while being accountable for the practice of nursing as outlined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments for patients
  • Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and patient needs
  • Evaluate and document responses to nursing interventions and revise care plans as necessary
  • Participate in process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality and customer satisfaction
  • Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in all job duties

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within 5 years of employment
  • Critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
  • Effective communication and team collaboration
