Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a Staff RN for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Columbus, Ohio. The role requires providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across various acute healthcare settings while committing to on-call hours. This position emphasizes quality, safety, and efficiency in nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments for patients
  • Document nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems
  • Evaluate and document responses to nursing interventions and adjust care plans accordingly
  • Participate in process improvement activities for clinical quality and customer satisfaction
  • Delegate nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs in compliance with state regulations

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Current RN license from the State of Ohio or multi-state compact state
  • BLS certification
  • At least 2 years of recent Med Surg experience as an RN
  • ACLS certification
  • BSN required after 5 years of employment
