Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a Staff RN for their Observation Unit in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves providing general nursing care to patients in diverse acute healthcare settings, focusing on personalized care throughout the continuum of health. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care while adhering to the nursing standards set by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments for patients.
  • Document planned nursing interventions to achieve patient outcomes based on nursing diagnoses.
  • Evaluate and document responses to nursing interventions and revise care plans as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality and patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in performing all job duties.

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or a multi-state compact state.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required after 5 years of employment.
  • Experience in patient care and acute care settings.
