Overview

OhioHealth is looking for a Staff RN for the Observation Unit in Columbus, Ohio. This role requires providing general nursing care to patients throughout diverse and acute healthcare settings, ensuring a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in nursing practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments
  • Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses
  • Evaluate and document response to nursing interventions and outcomes
  • Participate in process improvement activities for clinical quality
  • Delegate nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs as per Ohio Nurse Practice Act

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association
  • BSN required after 5 years of employment
  • Experience in patient care and clinical assessments
