Job Description

Overview

As a Staff RN in the Med Surg department at OhioHealth, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients and families in various acute healthcare settings. The role requires accountability for nursing practices and the implementation of patient care plans while contributing to continuous improvement in healthcare outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments of patients
  • Document planned nursing interventions and outcomes based on nursing diagnoses
  • Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions to revise care plans as necessary
  • Engage in process improvement activities for clinical quality and customer satisfaction

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or multi-state compact state
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • BSN required at 5 years of employment
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Adaptability and time management skills
