Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a Staff RN for their Med Surg department in Columbus, Ohio. This role provides general nursing care to patients and families, emphasizing the continuum of care in diverse, acute healthcare settings. The RN will be accountable for nursing practices as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and will work within a team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments
  • Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses
  • Evaluate and document responses to nursing interventions and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Actively participate in process improvement activities for clinical quality and customer satisfaction
  • Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in job duties

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or a multi-state compact state
  • BLS certification
  • BSN required after 5 years of employment
