Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a Staff RN for the Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves providing general nursing care to patients and their families throughout diverse and acute healthcare settings while ensuring adherence to nursing standards as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments of patients
  • Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses
  • Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions
  • Actively participate in process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance
  • Delegate nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required after 5 years of employment
  • Critical thinking and clinical documentation skills
  • Patient education and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in nursing duties
