Job Description

Overview

As a Staff RN at OhioHealth's Freestanding Emergency Department in Hilliard, you will provide general nursing care to patients and families across diverse acute healthcare settings. This role requires you to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring that you adhere to policies and nursing care standards while working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments of patients.
  • Document planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes based on nursing diagnoses.
  • Evaluate and document the response to nursing interventions and revise plans of care as needed.
  • Actively participate in process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties.

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or multi-state compact state
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • BSN required within 5 years of employment
  • 2 years of Emergency Department experience
