Overview

The Staff Pharmacist Manager at The Cigna Group is responsible for overseeing second shift manual dispensing operations within a high-volume automated home delivery pharmacy. This leadership role requires managing a team of licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational effectiveness while delivering quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Accountable for second shift pharmacy performance, safety, quality, and compliance
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Execute performance management processes including goal setting and feedback
  • Ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing
  • Lead effectively in a fast-paced, automated environment
  • Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams to enable continuity
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in productivity and safety

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Active Indiana Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain it
  • Prior experience leading or supervising teams
  • Experience in a fulfillment center preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work second shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) from Monday to Friday
