Overview

The Staff Nurse for Med Surg Trauma will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in diverse, acute health care settings, operating 24/7. The role requires accountability for nursing practices, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in accordance with Ohio's nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing health status assessments
  • Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses
  • Evaluate and document responses to nursing interventions
  • Participate in process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality
  • Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in nursing duties

Required skills

  • BLS certification
  • Registered Nurse license from Ohio
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required after 5 years
  • Experience in nursing care and patient assessment
  • Knowledge of medication administration and patient education
