Overview

Fibertek, Inc. is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to design and build advanced electro-optical systems for applications with NASA and the Department of Defense. This role involves working within a collaborative R&D team to contribute to both short-term and long-term projects, utilizing electrical engineering skills in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop electro-optical systems
  • Contribute to the development of laser products
  • Handle circuit board development and design
  • Participate in firmware (FPGA & CPU) development
  • Design and integrate cables and harnesses
  • Conduct board and system-level integration and testing
  • Troubleshoot electronic systems
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects

Required skills

  • BSEE with 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Circuit board design and troubleshooting
  • Experience with embedded system development
  • Hands-on skills for field tests and experiments
  • Electrical lab equipment proficiency
  • MSEE preferred
  • Experience with military and/or space-flight electronics
  • FPGA/CPLD design and troubleshooting
  • Embedded CPU/Microcontroller firmware development
  • LIDAR systems experience
