Job DescriptionThe Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accuracy in all areas of accounts receivable operations, overseeing and processing incoming payments, and ensuring incoming revenue is secured properly through the accurate verification and posting of receipts.We are seeking a reliable team member for a part-time role. The successful candidate must be available to work a fixed schedule with the same hours each week. This is an in-office position, and all work must be performed on-site. Remote work is not available. Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and process customer invoices in adherence to billing schedulesApply, with high level of detail, customer payments to correct accountsGenerate statements, reminders, and follow-up correspondence to facilitate paymentsMonitor accounts receivable aging report to proactively identify potential concernsAssist with month-end close with preparation of cash deposit reconciliationsManage the collections process, including follow-up calls on delinquent accountsCollaborate with Advancement to reconcile fundraising cash depositsOversee scheduling and logistics for student transportation, including daily routes, field trips, and extracurricular activitiesServe as the primary contact for transportation vendors, parents, and staff, addressing transportation needs and concernsAct as billing liaison between Sewickley Academy and Metz Culinary Management our outsourced dining vendor Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive informationQualificationsMinimum of an Associate's degree, Bachelor's preferred 1-3 years of experience required with Quickbooks Online, specifically with accounts receivable processesStrong understanding of accounts receivable processesProficiency with MS Office - Excel and WordExperience with customer service and client communicationExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsCompensationThis is a part-time, non-benefit-eligible position with a pay range of $25-$30 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.Why Pittsburgh?Pittsburgh is a vibrant, mid-sized city known for its affordability, convenience, and strong sense of community.
