Overview

Nikon Metrology is looking for a Staff Accountant with a focus on manufacturing and cost analysis to join their finance team in Osseo, Minnesota. This role is essential for managing and analyzing financial data related to inventory and production costing, as well as preparing financial reports for corporate use.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately record accounting transactions including intercompany billing and payables
  • Maintain and reconcile accounting records
  • Monitor Capex spending and lead fixed asset audits
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for the budget process
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Manage the cost of sales to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Track and report freight, duties, taxes, and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with finance team on standard costs and labor recovery rates
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
  • Support internal and external audit requests
