Our client, a global manufacturer in Geneva, IL, is seeking a Staff Accountant due to an internal promotion.The Role: Reports directly to the Corporate ControllerWill work with key management leaders within the company to be efficient and effective with their production flow proceduresStandard work hours are 8:15AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday100% on site The Responsibilities: Support the daily operations of the accounting function by assisting with the month-end close processEnsure the accurate and timely processing of payments in accordance with company policy and proceduresPerform other general functions to support the Finance Department and other departments and Business Units within the corporate umbrellaInvolved in processing A/P daily, applying cash receipts for all entitiesState local sales tax compliancePrepare monthly reconciliation reportsPrepare and pay sales tax returnsWork with Purchasing and outside suppliers to ensure ACH/wire paymentsAccount for and control the capital expenditure process The Ideal Candidate: BS/BA in Accounting or Finance2-5 years relevant accounting experience in either a manufacturing or distribution (products produced or moved/distributed) environmentAbility to use ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic)Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Sage will be needed Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 plus bonus (discretionary)Profit sharingPension
