Overview

Mate Precision Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support its financial operations in Anoka, Minnesota. This role focuses on accurate accounting practices, financial analysis, and credit and collections management, contributing to informed business decision-making and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze monthly financial results and identify variances
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasts
  • Support month-end close process including journal entries
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts for accuracy
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and payroll data
  • Review customer credit decisions and monitor open accounts
  • Conduct professional collection calls and document communications
  • Collaborate within the accounting department for backup support

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
