Job Description

Overview

UHP (Unlock Human Potential) is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accurate recording of financial information and assist in daily accounting operations. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment focused on developing service members and veterans into leaders.

Key responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions accurately
  • Process Accounts Payable including invoice review and payment preparation
  • Manage customer receivables and conduct weekly collections
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation
  • Assist with general ledger entries and financial reporting
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal teams
  • Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related area
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or HubSpot
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
