Overview

Skyworks LLC is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their corporate office in Buffalo, NY. As a family-owned construction equipment rental company, Skyworks values a positive culture and exceptional customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with researching and reconciling general ledger accounts to bank accounts and sub ledgers
  • Support the month-end and year-end financial closing processes
  • Assist with bank field examinations and equipment appraisals
  • Prepare, analyze, and file sales, use, excise, and other tax returns for multiple divisions
  • Oversee customer and vendor tax exemption tracking processes
  • Analyze tax compliance, laws, and regulations
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly state filings
  • Contribute to special projects such as acquisitions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Microsoft 365 suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
