Overview

EQ United is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team in Cassopolis, MI. This role involves performing various accounting functions, managing accounts receivable, supporting audits, and maintaining internal controls while collaborating with other team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform general cost accounting and related duties
  • Reconcile customer accounts and manage accounts receivable collections
  • Assist outside auditors during annual audits
  • Reconcile and maintain assigned general ledger accounts
  • Conduct general accounting functions including month-end close and journal entries
  • Provide reporting on cash, labor, and taxes
  • Assist in the development of financial policies
  • Resolve plant accounting issues with department managers
  • Manage T&E coding, credit card transactions, and cash management
  • Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls
  • Provide clerical support to department and office managers
