Job DescriptionJob Description Job DescriptionThe Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including the month-end close process, preparation of adjusting journal entries, and accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.This is a full time, in-office position. Essential Functions:Manage and process accounts payable functionsAssist with month-end and year-end closing processMaintains and reviews cost center and appropriation accounts to verify accuracy with coding, classification and posting of financial transactionsAssist with payroll processing as neededProvides support for special accounting projectsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldExperience: Minimum two years accounting experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply and will be considered.
