Job Description

Overview

The Sr. Technical Business Analyst for Investment Management will support a wealth management platform that covers the entire trading lifecycle, focusing on portfolio construction, rebalancing, execution, and reporting. This role requires a strong bridge between business and engineering, emphasizing effective communication and relationship-building.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between Portfolio Managers, Financial Advisors, and engineering teams
  • Own the end-to-end requirements process including discovery, documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Drive testing and validation to ensure alignment between built solutions and agreed requirements
  • Enhance Agile processes when beneficial and assess when to prioritize pragmatism
  • Address ambiguity proactively and maintain productive stakeholder relationships to facilitate delivery

Required skills

  • 5+ years as a Technical BA, Functional Analyst, or Solutions Analyst in financial services
  • Fluency in the end-to-end trading lifecycle including construction, optimization, trade modeling, and rebalancing
  • Experience with OMS, Analytics, Accounting, and Reporting systems
  • Knowledge of SMAs and the trading lifecycle across fixed income and equities
  • Strong SQL skills and cloud fluency in AWS (Lambda, S3, microservices, CI/CD)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
