Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Senior RF Product Engineer to support the development of complex RF products and radar systems in Tucson, Arizona. This role is critical as the company expands its engineering organization to meet customer demands, and requires strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills to navigate a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop RF hardware such as transmitters, receivers, and antennas
  • Lead hardware efforts across the product lifecycle including R&D, design, qualification, and production support
  • Perform component, circuit, and subsystem-level analysis, simulation, and trade studies
  • Integrate and test RF components and subsystems in laboratory and production environments
  • Develop test procedures and plans; execute Design Verification Testing and qualification testing
  • Oversee material delivery, build activities, and hardware test execution
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Provide technical management and oversight of suppliers

Required skills

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of experience or an Advanced Degree with
  • Experience with RF hardware simulation, design, fabrication, integration, and test
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Project management experience, including supplier coordination and budget management
  • Strong academic foundation in RF/Microwave Engineering, Electromagnetic Theory, or Radar Systems
  • Willingness to travel for integration, testing events, and customer meetings
