Overview

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Region Planner for the AWS Data Center Planning Team. This role involves leading global infrastructure demand and supply planning processes across multiple AWS regions, focusing on optimizing resources and driving strategic business decisions related to data center capacity and infrastructure acquisition.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute demand planning processes to align infrastructure capacity plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure long-term demand is met.
  • Program manage activities required for capital expenditure approval.
  • Conduct scenario and root-cause analysis to inform capacity decisions.
  • Define data requirements and manage data flow from capture to presentation.
  • Identify business risks and implement scalable resolutions.
  • Communicate ideas effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics for improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, data cleansing, etc.)
  • 3+ years driving process improvements (preferred)
  • Master's degree or MBA in relevant fields (preferred)
