Overview

The Sr Radiology Tech-Mammographer at OhioHealth is responsible for performing diagnostic radiology procedures and ensuring patient safety throughout the examination process. This role entails preparing patients for examinations, conducting a variety of radiographic and fluoroscopic studies, and adhering to established guidelines and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Conducts routine radiographic studies in diagnostics
  • Performs routine and specialized fluoroscopic studies using digital fluoroscope equipment
  • Maintains proficiency in radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Ensures radiation safety for patients and operators
  • Positions patients correctly for procedures according to department policies
  • Focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency in job duties

Required skills

  • Registered with ARRT or registry eligible in mammography
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
  • Experience in diagnostic imaging and patient care
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in radiology
