Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Product Hardware Electrical Engineer to join their team in Tucson, Arizona. The role focuses on the development and oversight of electrical products within the Land & Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems Department. Candidates will have the opportunity to enhance their engineering skills while collaborating with various teams to address technical challenges in production and testing.

Key responsibilities

  • Enhance electrical engineering skills with digital, analog, RF hardware testing and debugging
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other engineering disciplines
  • Drive development and sustainment activities of electrical products
  • Provide technical oversight and direction throughout the product lifecycle
  • Participate in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and proposal support

Required skills

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or 3 years with an advanced degree
  • Experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuit design and analysis
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with circuit card assemblies
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment (e.g., waveform generators, oscilloscopes)
  • Experience with tools like Mentor Graphics Designer, MATLAB, and oscilloscopes
  • Technical writing and formal presentation skills
  • Self-starter with independent working capability
