Overview

Pacific Life is seeking a Sr Private Placement Investment Ops Analyst I for their Fixed Income Ops team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is essential for the operational and middle office support of portfolio management and investment activities, focusing on private placements and alternative investments. The candidate will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of private investments, ensuring timely execution and integration of new investments.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage operational execution for private investments from trade capture to settlement
  • Coordinate with legal, counterparties, and internal teams for efficient closings
  • Oversee funding activities and cash movements with accuracy
  • Maintain integrity of instrument data and cash flow structures
  • Lead onboarding of new investments into established workflows
  • Resolve operational breaks and identify efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with front office and control teams for process enhancement

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in fixed income, investment operations, or middle office roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Direct experience with private or less liquid assets
  • Ability to interpret and execute deal documentation
  • Analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Strong communication skills across various stakeholders
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Bloomberg, Excel, Business Objects, Power BI, ePAM, SQL, and MS Office Suite
