Overview

The Sr Principal Cybersecurity Specialist at Talent Software Services will act as a strategic partner to cybersecurity leadership, translating strategy into execution for a medical device company. This remote position involves overseeing communication, operational planning, and cross-functional initiatives to align cybersecurity priorities and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Bridge the gap between technical security operations and business strategy
  • Coordinate leadership rhythms including staff and executive meetings, and town halls
  • Drive annual and quarterly planning cycles, tracking progress against OKRs and KPIs
  • Lead the translation of the CISO's vision into a structured execution roadmap
  • Manage the cybersecurity budget and vendor relationships
  • Structure and lead executive strategy meetings and off-site events
  • Serve as the primary surrogate for the CISO in high-stakes meetings
  • Prepare presentations and reports for the Board of Directors
  • Manage leadership meetings and organizational events during the CISO's absence
  • Act as a coordinator during major security incidents

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business, or related field
  • 10-15 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or related security functions
  • 5 years managerial experience
  • Understanding of GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), SOC operations, and cloud security architecture
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and complex project portfolios
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
