Job Description

Overview

The Sr. Network Engineer role is a 6-month on-site contract position based in Coppell, TX. The job requires a candidate with at least 10 years of experience in network engineering and a strong focus on Cisco technologies and security management.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support a Cisco centric WAN, LAN, and WLAN environment
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network problems
  • Implement and push firewall rules, configure LTM and F5 pools
  • Run application performance and packet analysis using Wireshark
  • Support site-to-site VPNs and client VPN solutions
  • Generate clear and concise documentation including case notes and network diagrams
  • Assist with Voice over IP implementation and support
  • Follow proper change management processes and escalation procedures
  • Engage vendors and carriers for troubleshooting or network solution implementation
  • Assist in the development of documentation and SOPs for the department
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations and flexible for overnight and/or weekend activities
