Overview

The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) at Jazz Pharmaceuticals is a field-based role focused on developing relationships with medical thought leaders in the epilepsy and neurology therapeutic areas. This position involves providing medical information, supporting clinical research, and facilitating educational initiatives in collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers
  • Execute territory plans aligned with Medical Affairs objectives
  • Collaborate with multiple functions to identify clinical insights and data gaps
  • Participate in medical education activities for healthcare professionals
  • Provide scientific and clinical support for products to formulary committees or payers
  • Manage medical information presentation and respond to inquiries in healthcare settings
  • Act as primary liaison for investigator-initiated trials (IIT) and oversee research progression
  • Support patient enrollment in sponsored clinical trials and participate in clinical development

Required skills

  • MS degree in scientific or medical discipline; MD, PharmD, or PhD preferred
  • MSL experience in epilepsy, spasticity, or cannabinoid science preferred
  • Strong ability to maintain relationships within the medical community
  • Excellent presentation and teaching skills
  • Clinical or research experience in epilepsy or neurology preferred
  • Knowledge of US legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations for industry interactions
  • Experience with digital platforms and tools
  • Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time
  • Valid driver's license and proximity to a major airport
