Overview

The Sr. Medical Editor role at Syneos Health involves ensuring regulatory documents meet FDA, EU, and industry standards through quality control and medical editing. This position is essential for maintaining high-quality documentation in clinical studies and collaborating with cross-departmental teams to drive timely project delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure documents meet or exceed regulatory requirements and guidance.
  • Perform quality control review of clinical documents.
  • Verify data accuracy in documents against source tables and figures.
  • Monitor timelines and budgets for assigned projects.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to medical writers and editors.
  • Conduct training and mentorship for medical editing staff.
  • Lead complex medical writing projects and organize team meetings.
  • Copyedit documents for grammar, punctuation, and style accuracy.
  • Develop process improvement tools and revise internal policies.
  • Manage projects according to established operating procedures and client standards.
