Job Description

Overview

The Senior Material Handler at bioMérieux plays a vital role in supporting manufacturing and distribution operations through shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material movement activities. This position ensures inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and compliance with safety and quality standards, serving both internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and label customer orders accurately
  • Receive and process materials from manufacturing and suppliers
  • Stock materials while maintaining 5S standards and inventory accuracy
  • Perform physical inventory counts of raw materials and finished goods
  • Process documentation for accurate material transactions in ERP/WMS systems
  • Support shipping activities, including carrier documentation preparation
  • Maintain clean and organized warehouse and work areas
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Operate material handling equipment and transport materials as needed
  • Provide training and guidance to team members
  • Identify and recommend process improvements

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse or material handling operations
  • Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with picking, packing, receiving, and inventory control
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Commitment to safety and compliance
