Job Description

Overview

The Senior Material Handler at bioMerieux is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material movement to support manufacturing and distribution operations. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and label customer orders accurately
  • Receive and process materials from manufacturing and suppliers
  • Stock materials and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Perform physical inventory counts of raw materials and finished goods
  • Process documentation for accurate material transactions within ERP/WMS systems
  • Support shipping activities and verify documentation
  • Maintain an organized warehouse and participate in 5S audits
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders for quality and regulatory compliance
  • Provide training and guidance to team members
  • Identify and recommend process improvements

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse or material handling
  • Experience with ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with picking, packing, receiving, and inventory control
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
