Job Description

Overview

The Senior Material Handler at bioMérieux is responsible for overseeing shipping, material movement, and receiving duties, while ensuring inventory accuracy. This role is integral to meeting the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality objectives of the division, directly impacting internal and external customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Pull and pack product orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Check lot numbers and prepare carrier documents
  • Receive and process products from manufacturing or suppliers
  • Stock products while maintaining 5S, inventory accuracy, and safety
  • Count physical inventory of raw materials and finished goods
  • Process required paperwork for all departmental material transactions
  • Maintain warehouse and work areas following 5S principles
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO, and FDA guidelines for warehouse activities
  • Provide training to others within the department
  • Identify areas for improvement to enhance accuracy and reduce errors

Required skills

  • High school diploma
  • 1+ years of warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of Kaizen and 5S principles
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication
  • Basic knowledge of quality procedures and standards
