Overview

The Senior Manager, Trade Compliance at L3Harris Technologies will lead a team of import and export professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and U.S. and Canadian trade compliance requirements. This strategic role is essential for facilitating business growth while adhering to trade laws and regulations, ensuring successful business outcomes aligned with company financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of trade professionals, providing direction and fostering professional development.
  • Influence business outcomes by providing licensing guidance and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures in compliance with U.S. and Canadian regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in department processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as the Empowered Official (EO) for the Trade Compliance program.
  • Oversee the export compliance program and ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, EIPA, and CGP.
  • Oversee import compliance activities, including HS classification and Customs Broker monitoring.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits and support compliance reporting to regulatory authorities.
  • Manage and develop the trade compliance team, providing coaching and training.
  • Advise management on contractual rights and obligations, including risk management.

Required skills

  • Experience in Trade Compliance or related field with U.S. and Canadian Export Control Laws and Regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong strategic, organizational, analytical, and reasoning skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Full knowledge of ITAR, EAR, EIPA, CGP, DPA, and Customs regulations.
  • Ability to manage diverse teams and build strong relationships across levels.
  • Demonstrated success in leading organizational growth and driving process improvements.
  • Bachelor's or Graduate Degree plus relevant experience.
