Overview

MI Windows and Doors is seeking a Sr. Manager, Human Resources to lead HR efforts at their Temecula, CA manufacturing facility. The role involves serving as a strategic partner within the leadership team, managing a local HR team, and enhancing employee experience while ensuring compliance with employment laws.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as an active member of the plant leadership team, aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Act as a consultative HR Business Partner to senior and line leaders.
  • Lead and deploy HR strategic initiatives supporting business goals.
  • Mentor and develop the on-site HR team, fostering performance and career growth.
  • Advocate for team member populations and build strong relationships across the organization.
  • Champion engagement and a positive, inclusive culture.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to deliver effective hiring strategies.
  • Coach leaders on performance management and employee relations.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters and oversee workers' compensation case management.
  • Analyze workforce trends and lead change initiatives.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience leading and developing an HR team.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Broad HR expertise including employee relations and workforce planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
