Job Description

Overview

The Senior Loan Processor at Workway, Inc. is accountable for pre-qualifying borrowers, processing loans, and ensuring compliance with investor requirements. This role involves communication with various stakeholders throughout the loan process, requiring strong organization and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Pre-qualify borrowers and determine loan eligibility
  • Process various loan types and interpret DU/LPA findings
  • Review financial, income, credit, and property documentation for accuracy
  • Communicate with borrowers, loan representatives, and third parties
  • Ensure loan files meet investor and program requirements
  • Order and review appraisals
  • Assist members in selecting the best loan program
  • Support Loan Representatives with approvals, denials, and system issues
  • Stay current on investor guidelines and mortgage regulations

Required skills

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of FNMA/FHLMC mortgage processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage processing and PMI guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • NMLS registration with satisfactory Federal-level background check
