Overview

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Investment Operations Analyst to join their Fixed Income Investment Operations team in Charlotte, NC. The role involves supporting post-execution processes for public fixed income portfolios, ensuring operational accuracy, and driving process efficiencies in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage post-trade lifecycle activities including trade validation, allocations, confirmations, and settlement for public fixed income securities
  • Review and affirm trade confirmations, resolving discrepancies with brokers
  • Coordinate with custodians for timely settlement and address trade failures or delays
  • Investigate and resolve trade breaks, cash/position discrepancies, and reconciliation exceptions
  • Support corporate action election processes, including monitoring, research, and execution

Required skills

  • 5+ years of investment operations experience, focusing on public fixed income assets
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg AIM, Excel, CTM, ALERT, TRADESUITE, and ePAM portfolio accounting systems
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes including allocations, confirmations, and settlement
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflows with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
