Overview

FF&C Mgt is seeking a Senior Insurance Underwriter to work remotely, specializing in underwriting significant commercial property accounts with premiums ranging from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The role involves evaluating natural disaster risks and maintaining strong relationships with distributors and brokers, while ensuring profitable management of the business's book of accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Review, negotiate, and accept or decline insurance submissions
  • Evaluate natural disaster risks such as floods, earthquakes, fires, and windstorms
  • Develop and revise contract wordings
  • Build and maintain relationships with wholesale specialty distributors and brokers
  • Assist with reinsurance purchases
  • Audit underwriting files and analyze loss ratios
  • Support management with the annual business plan

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience underwriting Large Manufacturing Risk and similar significant accounts
  • Experience with complex commercial property insurance
  • Knowledge of Contractors' Equipment, Mobile Machinery & Specialty Trucks
  • Familiarity with insurance regulations and audit processes
  • Experience in risk assessment and contract negotiation
