Overview

The Sr Generation Field Safety Administrator at PacifiCorp is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable operations in the field by actively engaging with employees and contractors. This role includes monitoring daily field activities, conducting safety observations, and providing oversight during major projects to promote a strong safety culture and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain a continuous and visible safety presence in the field.
  • Identify hazardous conditions and facilitate immediate corrective actions.
  • Conduct planned and unplanned field safety observations and audits.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority when imminent risk is present.
  • Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor contractor activities for safety alignment.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Communicate safety expectations and improvement opportunities.
  • Coach employees and leaders on safe behaviors.
  • Develop and report key safety performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide onsite safety support during major outages and projects.
  • Review job safety analyses and permits to ensure hazard controls.
  • Assist in developing safety training programs.
  • Participate in safety committees and audits.
  • Maintain safety certifications and technical knowledge.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of safety-related work experience.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to recognize hazards and intervene effectively.
  • Experience in power generation or heavy industry.
