Overview

The Senior Electronics Technician role at Marquee Staffing in Irvine, CA involves supporting engineering development activities through advanced troubleshooting, prototype assembly, testing, modification, and maintenance of electronic systems. The technician will be responsible for complex diagnostic and repair work and will collaborate closely with engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, testing, and validation of electronic assemblies, PCBs, and prototype systems
  • Use schematics, technical documentation, and lab equipment to diagnose issues
  • Execute precision hand soldering and rework for surface-mount and through-hole components
  • Build, modify, and assemble prototypes, cables, and fixtures for test setups
  • Conduct diagnostics and failure analysis using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab instruments
  • Support prototype bring-up and engineering design modifications
  • Document test results, technical observations, and prototype changes
  • Maintain a safe and organized lab environment
  • Identify opportunities to improve lab processes and workflow efficiency
  • Provide guidance and support to junior technicians

Required skills

  • 6+ years of experience in electronics technician work
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for analog and digital circuits
  • Advanced micro-soldering and rework capabilities
  • Proficiency with standard electronic lab instruments
