Job Description Job Description Electrical EstimatingDispense advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies and practiceApply effective problem solving skills, which are appropriately creative and innovativeTrack, forecast, report labor hours and material costs.Collaborate with field labor supervisor to plan, organize and schedule project work including preparation of an integrated project scheduleMaintain working knowledge of contract drawings, detail drawings and specsNegotiate agreements with our subcontractors and assure their performanceMaintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications or project Leadership/Administration Consistently meet deadline and project commitmentsTrain, mentor, and delegate staff effectivelyDemonstrate a customer service approach to managementEstablish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the project teamWrite subcontracts and purchase orders Marketing/Relationships Source/secure new business opportunities by establishing contacts and sustaining long term relationshipsFoster outstanding positive client relationshipsDeliver effective presentations and demonstrate accomplished interview skillsQualifications and SkillsMust have at least 8 years of experience as an Electrical EstimatorAbility to read drawings complete take-offsExperience with estimating software i.e. PlanSwiftProficiency in Microsoft Office, Accu-bid software is RequiredProcore experience preferredStrong cost control and project budget management experience.Must be flexible and have strong multi-tasking capabilities.Must be able to able to conceptually estimate based on preliminary architectural drawings and outline performance requirements/scope of work for subcontractors.Strong ability to work with others: clients, fellow workers, subordinates and management.Strong abilities in scheduling and must be familiar with purchase orders, project manager documents and writing contracts.Job Type: Full-time
