Job Description

Overview

A.O. Smith is seeking a Sr. EHS Manager for its North American operations, based in Nashville, Tennessee. This role focuses on providing EHS services and technical guidance to ensure compliance and risk mitigation across all North American facilities while supporting standardization of EHSS initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee ISO audit planning, scheduling, and execution at all North American facilities
  • Train and mentor new EHSS professionals
  • Implement and manage the EHSS ISO platform, focusing on plant execution
  • Develop and standardize critical risk programs across business units
  • Lead critical EHSS projects and initiatives
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on EHSS technical and regulatory aspects
  • Ensure timely completion of compliance tasks by facilities
  • Facilitate communication between corporate EHSS and individual locations
  • Analyze EHS metrics and KPIs for continuous improvement
  • Assist with regulatory agency interactions and EHS activities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
  • 7+ years of related experience in a manufacturing setting
  • 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Previous project management experience
  • Experience with Velocity EHS software preferred
