Overview

As a Sr. Distinguished AI Engineer at Capital One in New York, you will play a crucial role in creating responsible AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and support AI-powered products that redefine how associates work and how customers engage with Capital One's services.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage a range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience in AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • Proficiency in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
  • Expertise in architecting and supporting complex enterprise AI systems
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics
